He stanned for her a few months ago, or for her, I mean for sanity, I'm happy to see him doing it again. of course no one remembers what a bigot he was last time, no one will remember what a bigot he is this time.

He did around the time Gervais did IIRC, but Gervais backtracked and I don't think Cleese did.

I don't agree with him on everything - I don't agree with Rowling on everything - but I am so glad that two such high-profile people are giving cover to the rest of us to speak out.

Agreed on the importance of having more powerful people speaking out. The costs of doing so for many of us are truly high in potential job loss and nonstop harassment, but I already see a very slight change because JK Rowling spoke out. And Cleese supported her. Note, though, how Cleese doesn't get the death threats or the porn pictures. Misogyny really fuels much of the wokebeard social warriorism.
