Mixing up sexual desire and wanting to be wanted is part of the problem she's addressing. But I'm not quite sure she knows that.

Gosh isn’t this the truth. This is a hot take and generalizing but my impression is that women are more likely to prioritize wanting to be wanted and men tend to prioritize their own sexual desire, so it ends up being super common that a woman ends up in a relationship where she lacks sexual desire for her partner because her partner’s desire for her syncs up with her desire to be wanted and her own desire is ignored.

Yes, super common, I think most teenage girls have no idea what their own sexual desire even feels like.
