having a gender identity that is the opposite of male

WTF is this insulting definition? Dictionary.com and now them. Luckily, I've only ever bought an Oxford.

Not only insulting but nonsensical! What the hell does "opposite of male" mean?

Males wear shirts, should I go topless? Am I not allowed to wear pants, be strong and capable, and use powertools?

Wait a minute, if males are human, what does that make me? What is the opposite of human?

Help me, Merriam-Webster, I'm afraid I'm womaning wrong.

This means that gender is binary by their definition? What a bigots! :D

Can someone write an email template to send to Merriam Webster that this is offensive and reeks of misogyny? I'm not much of a writer myself.

There’s a lot of sexist assumptions in there to say that women and men are “opposites”. I remember dworkin (I think it was her) saying the opposite of man is really boy !
