People need to move past the verbiage of 'being trans', it convolutes the discussion. Transition is something you do, not something you are. An identity is a social construction. The high rates of natural desistance and the phenomenon of ROGD clearly indicates that 'trans' identities are neither innate nor immutable. I find that no one who talks about 'being trans' is able to define what that means. There is a lot of discussion of whether a child is 'really trans' or not, but no explanation of what that means. How does it differ from the top commenter's experience of insisting that they were a boy during childhood? Were people who socially or medically transitioned and then desist/ detransition 'really trans'?

I hate even more when they 'trans' historical people. Cause 'trans' as the concept we have now didn't exist then, and even now, people can't define it.
