FINALLY some sanity. If all trans people were like this, it would be all so damn peaceful. It's amazing how as soon as the trans cult sees ANYONE disagreeing with them, regardless of the person being trans or not, they IMMEDIATELY try to discredit their identity: "That’s a lot of yikes right there. If we’re in the business of gate keeping trans people and utilizing straw mans, are you sure you’re actually trans and not a cross dresser?"

Everyone's valid, AS LONG AS you agree with me uwu /s

I'm currently cautious about going "oh this is sane" in case I find some false logic in that post. I haven't yet. The guy sounds like he just wants to live as a woman (which sounds so stereotypical, and yet there's some truth to it), and he has dysphoria and knows that men will never be women and he seems to respect basic human biology. If I ever met him in real life he'd probably be that one trans I'd be happy to be friends with. He just wants to look feminine, be regarded as a female and knows he never will be. I found the same comment you found on reddit too. This guy knows he has a mental illness, but knows denying reality isn't going to solve anything, so he's transitioning while aware that he's still a man who just wants to have female features and be socially recognised as a "she". I'm somewhat happy to support that, but still a tad offended by his want to be a woman and be socially recognised as one, but if it's a case with dysphoria where you really want to distance yourself from your own body, it can help to transition.

I am curious though would he still want to be socially and legally recognised as a woman in Saudi Arabia or in other female oppressing countries? Would he feel fine being called a "he" after his transition? (I don't plan to ask him, I'm just expressing my thoughts on this type of person).

Edit: Added something

I don't know about that guy in particular, but I have heard that there are TiMs in Saudi Arabia too.

Almost certainly gay men who have been more or less forced into it because the alternative is death. Generally speaking you get more AGPs among transwomen in more "permissive" societies where women and gay people aren't directly oppressed by the legal system, and more HSTS in societies where they are.

I think you're thinking of Iran. I don't think Saudi Arabia makes any additional leeway for TiMs than for other homosexuals, whereas Iran has a law that homosexuality is illegal but transsexuality (with surgeries etc.) is allowed.

No, I'm thinking of a documented cross-cultural trend. I don't have specific information about Saudi Arabia - if you do, please link.
