Did you report this?

I feel like if twitter wants to ban hate speech and promotions of violence, one should be able to report posts like this and every single person who liked it.

Twitter's hateful conduct policy protects gender and gender identity but not sex.

Holy fucking shit, you're right.

The hateful conduct policy explicitly says "You may not promote violence against or directly attack or threaten other people on the basis of race, ethnicity, national origin, caste, sexual orientation, gender, gender identity, religious affiliation, age, disability, or serious disease." To me, that implies that promoting violence against people for any other reason is apparently permissible.

The weird thing is, on these disclaimers you see all the time, the default categories that always go together regardless of site is usually "race, sex, ethnicity, nationality, sexual orientation, etc.". Sex is always stuck in there somewhere, usually in the first 3.

I am actually pretty sure "gender" means "sex" in this case since the next one is "gender identity" which means "trans". (I'm sure soon someone will scream tWaNZpHobiA!!! at the word "sexual orientation" and demand it be changed to "genderual orientation", they just haven't noticed it yet lol.)

But when TIMs scream "kill all TERFs", they aren't targeting us for our sex (or "gender"), they're targeting us for our belief in biological facts, which isn't protected.

It's insane.

No, see the way it works is that it's ok for people to talk about burning women at the stake, but it's NOT ok to say that males can't be lesbians. That will get you a permaban. How long do you suppose it will be before jack is seen around town sporting a skirt and lippy?

I always report violence on twitter!! Sometimes this even seems to work. Unfortunately it never ends. There's so much of this in the wild.

Twitter has similar double standards with their policy as Reddit. I highly suspect if they would even take any action against things like this.
The Reddit TIM mods have been involved in countless threats of violently beating up women, raping women, sending women to concentration camps, and murdering women. And they are perfectly protected by the admins for "not breaking any rule or policy". Even worse, the site will flag your account for shadow ban because you dare try to report their TIM babies. It is so fucked up. Similarly, Twitter is not a safe platform for voicing any concerns either.
