Let's also ignore that handmaidens would also gladly throw their organs on this pyre. Ugh.

A friend of mine recently peaked and it’s been so great to see her reclaim her power and stop putting her trans and gender fluid “friends” on a pedestal above herself as a person. Women need to keep fighting and empowering others to not be fucking handmaidens.

What caused her to peak? I'm always curious the different pathways people take to get here.

She got some space away from a toxic friend group due to COVID-19 and realized they thrived on negativity, and she felt used by them and creeped out by their thought policing. I know one person constantly sexualized her and compared himself to her, he even got in a fight with her when she hooked up with someone he liked and blamed her cis privilege insisting that they should “share” men even if the man was straight ugh-and the others always got into dramatic arguments over identity politics. It was mentally fatiguing for me to be around them and once she had a break she kind of woke up to what kind of people they are and what they represented.

Definitely sounds cult-like and like once she found time and space to breathe and think for herself, she reactivated her own critical thinking skills they didn't want her to exercise.
