What do you think of the suggestion to stop feeding the trolls? I know Yin does that a lot too, and I think it's harmful to saidit.

Disagreement is one thing, but those are very likely to be leftist trolls from reddit who are just here to spread lies and disinformation. With replies, it's an invitation to post more of their bullshit in response. IMO, they win if anyone engages with them.

Or to /u/JasonCraswell who spreads misinformation to kill people and the economy in the west for Glavset.

I can see how annoying this is, but it's also too retarded for anyone to take seriously. I was having a problem with getting sucked into replying to socks, so I finally blocked him. I'm going to check to see if I'm over that by unblocking him again, as the whole comment thread he's in gets nuked.

Yep. Calling out their bullshit in an udder field of cowpie lies is as perilous as the cowpox vaccinia and if you accidentally step in their dung traps, the more you scrape it off the more you smear it around, and the more they stick on you, sucking your time like a cheap whore, trying to drag you down like a ball and chain, the more I find their pathetic bullshit is ripe for creative fucking around with and sculpting into counter-expressions. But maybe this doesn't entertain others much. I was done for today anyway. But really I need to figure out some better plans and practical action for when I'm waiting around for real life stuff. This is not my best use of idle down time. My last few weeks have been intense.

Sounds like it. Nice beard, btw. Mine is more like 7 mm, but the 'stache is about the same. New since last year. Am thinking maybe a more pliable wax might work for the day to day. Both I have now have to be melted to use.

Sounds like it.

You may have only heard a fraction of it. There's too much to catch up on and share. Some of it would only be interesting or entertaining if conveyed well, and some of it could be helpful and informative. And I'm still not sure if it's over or just beginning. I think I'll need to make the Winter work for my projects now.

Unfortunately, we're not all as intelligent, and many have trouble deducing (or apprehending?) the intent and bigger picture behind skillfully presented disinformation.

    In their shill centers, and maybe even for the casual app users, replies = benefits. If they can't get marks to reply, they're the 'underpeople' of shilldom. Few replies gets them pennies each, but if they can hit certain levels, that = up to thousands of $ per month. Not sure if that applies to tiny sites like saidit, but it is definitely a thing on places like faceberg and that birdnoise site.

    But the main issue, imo, is that a lie repeated enough will gain traction, despite being ludicrous or completely debunked. It also kind of poisons the atmosphere, and repels the less dedicated debaters.
