I can rarely do it or a lucid dream, but if I do I have no free will and wake or fall into a dream shortly after. No doubt I'm being monitored and prevented from coming too close to the edge of reality.

Nah. Like any other skill, all you need to do is to practice.

They took that away from me. Practice doesn't do shit for me anymore. I'm basically banned from having any real cognitive ability, even though I'm technically extremely intelligent. I can't do anything that requires thought. I wasn't even supposed to be smart, everyone in my family is just regular people, and I have poor genetics for anything else. And I'm afflicted with gender dysphoria which makes it impossible for me to function properly. And I'm being monitored and actively prevented from doing anything that might threaten the system too much. I'm super dissociated and have been that way ever since I started having these big thoughts, they are definitely throttling my cognitivity to keep me under control.

Actually I've even noticed it seems to get harder with time. Lots of people do it once and really struggle to again. I think because certain powers catch on and take measures to prevent it.
