He says we didn't break any rules. But he also threatens that he will ban the sub if the subs moderators check the box that puts the sub on the front page.

The sub is a debate sub, so it makes little sense to have it restricted from everyone else. From the perspective of the sub anyway. I suppose the admins don't like our political views and don't want us to interact with users. It honestly feels like reddit all over again.

With magnora7 (sort of) gone from the site things are really starting to go downhill. I guess all the trolls crashing the website finally took their toll. It was fun while it lasted.

M7 was the one who originally took s/debatealtright off of s/all, according to u/cisheteroscum. (a mod there) This ain't new drama; the mods on DAR decided that, since Magnora's jumped ship, they might could get back on s/all, but FRB said no.

    [–]cisheteroscum 8 insightful - 2 fun8 insightful - 1 fun9 insightful - 2 fun -  (4 children)

Just like anyone else, we have no idea wtf is going on with magnora. I don't know how he can "jump ship" and SaidIt can still be a thing, considering he pays the bills. But still can't explain why he hasn't showed up in a month either

the mods on DAR decided that

Send_nasty_stuff just noticed it was as easy as checking a box to put us on /all. He checked the box to include us, and made a post about it. There wasn't much of a consultation with other mods. When fred_red_beans removed us again, we all agreed to just not do anything and leave it as it was.

Basically a random event with little co-ordination

I don't know how he can "jump ship" and SaidIt can still be a thing, considering he pays the bills.

How I understand it: it's on auto-pay, and SaidIt only goes down when the money runs out, or there's some glitch in the payment system.

    Oh, okay. Thanks for clarifying!

Send_nasty_stuff just noticed it was as easy as checking a box to put us on /all.

I pointed that out to him. He tried it for a bit and as predicted /s/All was dominated by the popular DAR posts, making SaidIt generally look like an Alt-Right website.

    [–]cisheteroscum 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I understand. Like I said elsewhere - we like SaidIt, we want to stay - but we know we are a dominant user base that would affect the front page under normal conditions. If we need to be de-facto censored for the benefit of the site, then that's OK - but I want magnora to be honest about that and we'd like to have specific rules or something such that we can have our forum but also have certain posts visible to non-Alt-Right people so they can share their opinions too

The mistake that magnora made was the accusation of intent on our part in making SaidIt look like a specifically alt-right site. There is no such conspiracy, we simply didn't do anything wrong.

    [–]JasonCarswell 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

    All rationally well stated.

The mistake that magnora made was the accusation of intent on our part in making SaidIt look like a specifically alt-right site.

He stoops to making bad accusations when he can't justify himself. I understand his reluctance as well as your dilemma and sympathize with both views.

There is no such conspiracy, we simply didn't do anything wrong.

Unless I'm missing something, this seems generally obvious, so I agree, but it doesn't help when dramatists inauthentically claim they're victims or threaten scorched earth tantrums.

Get the F out of here wjth that defeatism. What a load of crap. This is exactly what the paid social media influencers are trying to do to this site.

    [–]JasonCarswell 4 insightful - 2 fun4 insightful - 1 fun5 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

    I actually agree.

    [–]Jesus 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Defeatism is a shill tactic... just saying. It is in the online shill handbook.

But acknowledging the factors of a non-winning condition is an important aspect of correctly apprehending reality.

Ooh cool is that on Libgen? I'm thinking about getting a part time, remote, gig.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (5 children)

If you're referring to the incessant alt-right disinformation at Saidit, than you're perhaps correct. The fuckers sharing posts from /s/ShitpostNews websites are the social media influencers here. There are no alternative influencers here.

    [–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (4 children)

Sure there are. There are one or more social influencer companies paying posters to post disruptive, demoralizing crap. Aren't you one of them? Why would you work for free?

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

    You have no examples.

    [–]Chipit 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

I could tell you how you give yourself away, but you'd just use that information to hide better. Suffice it to say you glow like kryptonite.

    [–]Dragonerne[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

One thing we can agree on

    [–][deleted] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

That, or you're insane. Guess which is more likely.

And be so kind as to email Soros and let him know I'm still waiting for my Saidit shill honorarium. He'll act like he has no idea what you're talking about, but don't fall for it.

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (3 children)

Agreed - though it was already going downhill - which is why he probably doesn't like the site - as it's always filled with alt-right disinformation (Saidit is s/debatealtright, debate facts, debate science, debate sexuality, debate common sense, debate with racists), meant to persuade the mentally ill to vote for the GOP, or to avoid voting, and letting the corporations run a small-government US, while increasing extreme income inequality, poverty conditions, destroying the environment, killing education programs, &c.

    [–][deleted] 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

"...meant to persuade the mentally ill to vote for the GOP, or to avoid voting..."

    You are hilarious!

    [–]AnarchySpeach 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

    or to avoid voting,

Don't most of the people on this site already recommend this?

    [–][deleted] 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

That's why I mention it. Many here are brainwashed to believe that both leading political parties are the same and not to vote. This always favors the alt-right party, who are pushing the propaganda and disinformation campaigns that - because both parties are crooked - one should not trust anyting in the government and let corporations feed money to the few authoritarian politicians who will kill government departments and leave the 99% to suffer with no government support for healthcare, environment, education, planned parenthood, other social programs, bridges, roads, police, etc. etc. Many Saiditors navel-gaze so much that they never think through the consequences of not voting, or indeed the sources for their brainwashing.
