Should /u/diogenesjunior be un-banned? I've lost a friend. I don't know the details: who where when what how why. This is a serious problem on SaidIt.

One one hand I generally liked Dio's contributions but on the other, he'd occasionally make posts leading to people's bans. I mean, isn't that exactly where this whole thing going on started.

I've noticed that about Saidit in general though, every so often someone has to dredge up some drama. I used to have an almost weekly one on me in one reddit sub. It was not a pleasant experience.

How do you mean leading to their bans? I don't know how it started. It takes two to tango. You say "people" meaning more than one. Were they trolls or people with bad tempers or suckers baited by some manipulation?

Drama and conflict is inevitable. It's how you manage it. Making it secret helps no one.

What do you mean "on you"? Airbus320 is stalking me trying to stir up some shit. You mean like that? Sadly, it may be effective against those in a weak state or vulnerable moment.

I'm tired of this whole mess alfuckingready and want to move on. But today is my first "protest" day (I should have waited until Tuesday or Wednesday but I'd rather see DioJr return last week) and I've been procrastinating PMing folks to updoot this post. I don't feel great about PMing folks. Maybe next week. I dunno.

Actually...

I wrote about it yesterday in my post. No one said anything about it, including you. It's not sock puppetry, but it is notifying my friends via private message and THEY get to decide for themselves or even tell me to fuck off if they wish to.

However, I haven't even bothered to yet today, because I'm tired of this and your shit. I expect everyone else is too. Still, I intend to do it next week.

Today's "vote boost" wouldn't make much diff at this point in the day anyway, but I could invite them to repost it aaaaaaaall week - but with different images.

    He's not known for thoughts that go deeper than the intial knee-jerk. He reads all of Saidit each day and reacts to occasional posts with the same depth of thought as a gnat in heat. If he's trying to be divisive, he's not given it much thought. Also - he should try to be less divisive. He should run a sub called 'TheStateOfSaidit' with (knee-jerk) notes on what he read that day.

    Have you seen baseball movies like 'The Bad News Bears' or variations on that kind of movie? Sometimes I think the various characters on Saidit - and their consistent idiosyncrasies would form a funny baseball team in a movie. Some of the approaches by some of the users are almost predictable. I see that the posts from the fake accounts take advantage of this. Not that I have anything to contribute at the moment.

    Bad News Bears was big in my childhood. Surprised people still remember it. Optimistic you think we're all a bunch of likeable misfits. I like it though. I like to believe nearly everyone is essentially a decent human being, or tries to be.

    I was hoping not, but I wanted it to be extra clear for readers. I won't deny we have issues in common and others opposed.

    I don't know enough about them to label them as such. From what I glean they pretend to be progressives while pushing communism propaganda and divisive chaos, including Alt-Right memetics. To be honest, I don't think they really stand for anything but 8chan type chaos.

    For what it's worth, I've also pointed out people who use pejorative insults and M7 has dealt with them. If that's part of what you were referring to. (I'll read those posts over in full soon.)

    That's why I proposed the fairness on SaidIt idea to distribute the "blame" to a jury of peers - AND relieve some of the burden and target off M7. 12 jurors, a judge, and the wider system (guards, warden, executioner) makes for a wider targets in the court system for a reason. The difference here is that instead of a corrupt system we have a proven benevolent admin who seems intent on suffering under his current limited system. If there's a better alternative or even some small improvements MANY of us would be much happier. I won't drag people's names into it because I don't think I need to or ever should.

    I know it's not much, my comments are more a jumping off point. Trying to dig through a lot of posts on a phone is cumbersome, I just vagely remembered these were popular (for me I mean) comments so I could sort them and only search through three pages.

    Socks is actually quite insightful some of the time, but he's a believer and supporter of the tyrannical corporatocracy, often with the behaviour of shills. I figured he was intelligent enough to see the errors of his ways and tried to help him see things better (obviously from my limited biased perspective), but he's set in his ways. I have no more time nor drama for him on that front, try to pick my battles carefully, and won't much need to debate him in depth, especially when others do just as well bashing their heads against his brick wall. More important than Socks is that all the readers, lurkers, viewers, etc. have a chance to weigh things and make up their own minds on those matters.

    Airbus has been stalking/harrassing me across SaidIt far and wide for the last 2 days. Until yesterday I valued many of his insights so I had him in my /s/friends but this behaviour is unseemly. If M7 bans him, that may be why. Debating with Socks is one thing. Airbus is actively shit disturbing.

    Yes and no. I'm currently sticking my neck out a bit. You are among the few who are speaking up in support. If I were axed I wonder how many if any would protest or quit or whatever. If we and a handful or a big bunch were banned, what then? This site would just have a different character and evolve without us. M7 might even be demoralized and pack it in. I certainly do NOT want any of that, nor for M7 to ever quit. I just want improvements and progress - even slowly if need be.

    IIRC, the SaidIt costs have been covered by donations for some time. It's certainly easy enough to put "donate" in the header or sidebox.

    And we need public relations, media, and original content. I'm working on these AND the bureaucracy / infrastructure to manage them. /s/GlossedAndProfound and /s/BittersweetSeeds will be dusted off and improved along with the new /s/LeverMind. All will be revealed in time for feedback and improvements. I'm starting these SaidIt-based interactive projects with hopes we may all participate and consider them ours and worth supporting and growing. My focus will narrow on these, away from current event distractions.
