Don't know if you remember when women were being urged to knit vaginas and send them to Republican Congressmen. I shared the email I got with people on my personal joke distribution list, forgetting that it included a friend of my mother's. Who, of course, was shocked and horrified, for which I couldn't really blame her. Fortunately, my mother took it in stride, basically saying "if she can't take a joke" but without the final bit that includes a word she never used.

Oddly enough, the friend was born and raised in France and I guess I took 'enry 'iggins' assessment that "the French don't care what you do, actually, so long as you pronounce it correctly" too literally.
