In free countries, people try to improve, work harder, make money, buy more cars, buy more houses, be more attractive, and be smarter.

In a police state, standards are lowered and there are no morals because there are no churches. No one is responsible for anything because everyone is just following orders.

In police states, there is corruption because everything is illegal and you must pay bribes to do anything.
