I like Pine64 and have bought several devices from them. Your comment about the PinebookPro is fair but jeez the design is several years old now and what's more it was never intended to be anything but a hobbist's laptop. I got one also expecting to be making it my daily driver but it just never jelled for me and the thing ended up sitting on my shelf mostly. Then at one point while I was trying the flash the keyboard ROM something went wrong and now it's a boat anchor. But I don't miss it at all, and I'd never buy another. I've amassed a small collection of laptops from various vendors that became too old to be usable under Window but they are mostly fine running Linux. When I needed a laptop for this reason or that I'd always grab one of those, never the PBP.

OTOH I got a lot of use out of the PineTab even though it's quirky as heck and it was a real love-hate thing. The new PineTab2 is very polished and I have high expectations, assuming they finish the OS.

The Clovehitch Killer is just a well written, directed, and acted film that I feel deserves a wider audience, but otherwise is non-woke which itself is refreshing.

But assuming you do not have obstacles like a handicap or some other disadvantage that is outside of your control then there are lots of things that you could do to make your life more bearable, so don't despair. I just watched Nefarious and I was impressed. Tight script, not a wasted line of dialogue, good casting (the leads at least), and it moved right along. The ending was weak but really the movie is about the interaction of the 2 main character and that's what's I'll remember. Not a half-baked ending that does a unremarkable, cliched job of tying up the story. I'm still trying to figure out WTF Glen Beck's character's purpose was. I think I get what they were going for but sometimes the lack of a resolution detracts rather than adds to the story. This is one of those.

I don't agree with the assertion that it has an anti-woke or any message. The little bit those topics came up was to provide material for discussion to continue to move the characters and the story forward. The worst I'd say is that the topics are trendy right now and choosing them was easy or lazy. But it could have been literally anything and it would not have changed the movie at all IMO.

Hats off to the writer and director. It's rare to come across such focused, purposeful movie making any more. Not a great film but much better than I expected even before I saw your initial comments. But I am going to check out The Rite next, thanks for the suggestion.

Animal studies are not human studies. They have some value, obviously, but they are not conclusive in terms of human effects by any stretch. And besides that study is from 1992. Is it really the 'best' study you can find?

Do what you want -- as mentioned I decided years ago to avoid Al in my food -- but making unsubstantiated claims is pointless and wrong.

In my opinion someday they will figure out that Al plays a role in dementia, and possibly other conditions, but that there are many other factors that also contribute. This is why doing the research has been so difficult.There are virtually whole cultures that use Al cookware their whole lives yet so far no correlation has been shown across the population. What conclusions can you draw here? Unless of course Big Aluminium has been paying off public health officials and hiding the truth about large scale and orchestrated aluminium poisoning of the populace. In the absence of the truth any thing is literally possible.
