What was the dumbest thing you saw during The Panic?

It's becoming apparent that the world is determined to descend back into idiocy and retarded decrees with no basis in science or truth.
So while the world is still somewhat sane, let's talk about the fucking stupid things we saw people do during Global-Media-Induced-Panic 1.

During the original media-induced panic, I worked in retail, with/for a handful of hypochondriacs. We had stupid rules such as not allowing anyone to enter our shop, and refusing to accept cash, but by far the most idiotic thing I was told was that I was not allowed to deflate air-packaging balloons that came in our shipments.
And why?
Well the packages were often from china. So it was chinese air, and it might have THE KILLER PLAGUE INSIDE!!!

I'm sure it will come as no surprise but the dumbest things I saw were all to do with masking: A lone person in a car, wearing a mask. People walking outside in parks, by themselves and no one else even in the area, wearing a mask. A lone lady jogging on a forest path, wearing a mask. A guy driving down the street on his motorcycle, wearing a mask.

I'm sure this is far from the dumbest or craziest, but the first thing that comes to mind. I got on an elevator with 5 people and one of them admonished us that the limit was 4 people per elevator. 4 people crammed in a small box is fine but God forbid you put 5 in there!
