Gotta say, I'm a furry (or was) and it's not something kids should be involved in. It would be ok if people could keep the clean and fetishy stuff separate, but they don't. It's also become heavily intertwined with gender ideology.

I would say there's a 4th group - mentally ill teens/adults who have become convinced all their problems stem from "being in the wrong body". They transition in an attempt to fix themselves and then end up stuck with both their preexisting mental problems and the problems arising from transition.

If NZ manages to pull its head out of the sand, it will be because of sports. Government, media and academic institutions are all rigidly pro-gender ideology, but the country loves its sport and when people start seeing their female athletes losing to men it will become something they can't ignore.
