Is he personally responsible for saving the lives of the 2,750 American men, woman and children who weren't killed as part of the recent decline in homicides?

Because 2,750 is a lot more people than 2.

Trying to drum up outrage by claiming that undocumented immigrants commit more violent crimes than US citizens ignores the data.

The opposite is the case

We find that undocumented immigrants have substantially lower crime rates than native-born citizens and legal immigrants across a range of felony offenses. Relative to undocumented immigrants, US-born citizens are over 2 times more likely to be arrested for violent crimes, 2.5 times more likely to be arrested for drug crimes, and over 4 times more likely to be arrested for property crimes.

It's not whataboutism. I'm saying that despite 2 (count them ... 1, ... 2) homicides, this demographic is more law abiding and civilized than the average US citizen.

Focusing on the outliers could lead to false impressions.
