I don't hear your headline in what he said.

I hear the voice of a majority of the world - spoken in this case by the emirati representative - making clear that they are done with the western attitude of "We in the west know who you in your part of the world are, and we know what you need better than you do, because we are the smarter culture, and we will dictate how the world should run." For the past 10 years, this has been on display, particularly regarding Russia, Asia, and the Middle East. It's been striking in particular watching the western propaganda tell us how the Russians are about to rebel and throw out Putin, or that Iran is facing imminent rebellion from their people. Anyone noticed that these stories last a couple of weeks and then disappear? This guy is pointing out that the west is delusional in their treatment of non-western societies. Western "thought leaders" take their own outside perspective as gospel, when time and time again, events are demonstrating that the societies about which the west pontificates bear precisely zero resemblance to the story the west is telling itself about them.

That's what I hear this guy saying.

I find it interesting that they never fight over charity.
