Yes it is. There are a couple of scales of this. The Quigley scale is the one that comes up first on a google.

Being transgender isn't the normal way of being born. Most people have five digits on each hand, and that's the way we evolved. But you don't say "Five fingered is the evolved category. Nothing can change that". The reality is some people have more and some people have fewer. And such people exist.

And you ignore people who are ambiguous? And you ignore that XX/XY chimeras can even be true hermaphrodites?

That's amusing for a biologist.

Typically these people just have a developmental disorder of their genitals.

"Disorder" used to be defined that broadly. The reality is that there's a lot of different causes including genetics and sex hormone insensitivity.

The intersex thing is a red herring that is constantly brought up by gender ideologues, it has absolutely no baring on people pretending they can change sexual categories.

Because things can change that. So the interesting thing is that you claim that they don't.

Trans ≠ Intersex

Biologically they fit into the same category. You can have completely unambiguous physical sex characteristics and still be transgender, because the brain is also sexually dimorphic. But they're both a mixture of gender in one way or another, and Gender Dysphoria is much higher in the intersex community, so they are related.

Deformed genitals don't make you a unique class of person. And no, I didn't make it up that intersex people are either male or female, if a person has an Y-STR gene and functioning androgen receptors they're a male, otherwise they're a female, regardless of their chromosomes or genitals.

There is no biological category for "trans," it's a culture-bound syndrome, it's not real. An effeminate man is not a woman, a butch woman is not a man. A gay man is not a woman, a gay woman is not a man. There are no "train brains."

That's because there's a continuum between name and female.

What's a Y-STR gene? Are you taking about a Y chromosome? Or the short tandem repeats on the Y chromosome?
