As with all great technological advancements, manufacturers will first run lithium into the ground until prices are so low that it's no longer profitable, giving them time to figure out how to make sodium batteries cheaply, then in a decade or two we might start seeing these on sale but at outrageously high, artificially inflated prices so they can tear the maximum amount of cash out of the consumer as possible. Sometimes science is an ass.
