Common sense is fallible since almost everyone is psychologically conditioned by the media. Maybe we should start as things like what the purpose of laws and societies are, and work up to what,biologically speaking, life and sex are. Unless people think about these basic things are they tend to just accept whatever answers make them feels good.

We need and we have them. Comparing sensible gun laws to sensible abortion law is like ocmparing sensible gun law to crane operators licences.

Imagine you were required to do a table calculation on the laws of physics to estimate where the bullet will go before every shot, the same way you are required to do when loading each load on the crane... Makes no sense the same way as comparing details of one regulations to details of another regulations.

We've had common sens abortion laws for decades - weeks, procedure, license for doctors, psychology help for the mother.
