I'm not saying it's impossible that this might genuinely be someone who is in love with a registered sex offender, but if you demanded I make a bet, I'd say it's a registered sex offender masquerading as a third party to ask questions about their own options while making themselves seem more sympathetic.

That being said, I understand there are some places you can end up on that list for peeing in a public area, which, if true, seems a smidge unfair. To be unable to find an open public toilet and have to tinkle in an alley doesn't seem like something that should plop you down on a list next to kiddy fiddlers and flashers. Everyone has gotta pee.

I just assumed she was really ugly and unwilling to settle for her looksmatch. So, she has to settle for "Molester Chad."

Nobody's getting slapped with all those probation conditions for pissing in an alley.

No, no, obviously there's a different set of requirements for someone taking a whizz and someone dragging kids into their Free Candy van, I didn't mean to suggest that this specific person had only done something minor. I just meant that I could see someone dating someone who, due to a technicality, was on a register like that, given that some of the ways to end up on it don't really seem to match the punishment of being associated with it.

I remember that being an issue in Louisiana, where people would wind up on the list for public urination. I think they changed the law, but it was a real issue.

They may have removed solicitation convicts from the registry at the same time. Some people advocated for that. I thought it was a bad idea.

Solicitation of a minor? Yes sir, that's something for the list!
Solicitation of an adult? Rude, and you need to seriously sit in the cool out corner for a while, but I don't know if you deserve to be on the same list a child molesters. Though, it Is an actual "Sex Offence", and it's a "Sex Offenders Registry", so in the literal sense I think you should be on it.

I guess that registry really needs tiers. There's the: "My girlfriend and I were feeling risky so we did it in an empty movie theater and got caught" tier all the way up to the: "So, you're 8?... And your mum isn't home and nobody in your house is Chris Hanson? I'll be right over!" tier.
