I was informed by the British Museum that human sacrifice in Hinduism was all colonialist lies so this can't be true.

I don't think thats right... especially after using the word 'the'. Americans 'have' shit health care. America 'has' shit health care

The United States, the states that are united, have shitty healthcare. The people have been unhappy about it for quite a while. They have heard of other nations with better healthcare and are upset. Canada has better healthcare. Canadians have expressed this through online forums.

Fuck it, you're right. Idk why but something about the "The" changes it into a singular noun that references something that is plural. But idk if that means saying "has" is corrent and "have" is wrong, or if it only makes saying "has" also true.
