Sure, that's a great LARP. But in this case the better strategy might be to fuck the babysitter, or use psychological manipulation. Perhaps offer to cook and make sure she is eating healthy. Replace her sugar with zero calorie sweeteners. Take her out for walks on the beach. Buy her some nice but too small clothes. Infect her with intesinal worms. Watch shows with bikini models in front if her. Get others like her family and friends to encourage her to lose weight. Maybe have them plan an event wich she would want to slim down for.

These days your reputation takes much less of a hit when you behave like a much more dispicable person.

The advice giver is fucking stupid. She's asking how the husband would feel if his wife was disfigured in an accident or lost a limb, but that isn't the same thing. That's more comparable to if he was turned off by stretch marks and loose skin after she had a baby. Being fat is different, ESPECIALLY being 50lbs overweight. 5 or 10 lbs sure, but 50 lbs is absolutely a choice and its reasonable for him to be turned off by it. If she cared a lot about being fit before it indicates a change in personality also. Seeing your spouse go from taking care of herself to blobbing out on the couch is unattractive in itself as well.
