How the hell was bud light America's number one beer?

What's wrong with you people?

I can't even defend that one, bud light is not only horrible, it also induces diarrhea. As a teen it was just something everyone drank beca... Oh that's right, it's because it's one of the few beers women would drink who didn't like beer. So when you're a broke teen with few options, you'd get the case of beer that might get you laid.

America went more with Pilsner and Lagers... though we are in the middle of a beer renaissance. There is nothing wrong with pilsners or lagers, and frankly pilsners are some of the hardest to brew as it is more water than beer, and as such any impurities, wrong flavors, etc would be easy to taste. That said, yeah it is a pretty meh beer, but heyyyy this is America, home of meh.

Bud light is great! I’d drink it anytime.

Bud light gets to the point. I'm not drinking beer for the taste, I'm drinking it to get buzzed

It’s just a grooming protocol, to see what segment would reject something and what market could be captured. It’s just business and an alteration of customer demographics. CCP has a big interest in doing stuff like this abroad, autocratic and retarded.

Yup, exactly. They’re just turning the dials and testing the waters.

Try gas stoves… interesting. Ok now try Bud Light… I see. Ok how about…

What dumb bullshit thing can we jerk around to illicit the most inflammatory response?!

[–][deleted] 1 insightful - 2 fun1 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

They’re following some religio-prophecy. As usual and against humanity. Nothing great about grooming from the Abrahamic perspective.

I just wonder who is doing it, signs indicate it is some sort of a religious zealot group that should be classified as a terrorist organization. They exist in high places where agencies roam, jesuits might be on the money.

It’s literally everyone in a position of power, whether through money or political appointment. Anyone who has something to gain by exploiting a docile serfdom, no matter how large or small, is going to constantly test the boundaries of control they can exert on the masses.

[–][deleted] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I just wonder if it is so clear, or is it subjective and personal by design. Historicity proves the latter in markets and finance and as such, can be deemed culprit.

That's fucking retarded. Beer has loads of empty calories and low ABV. If your goal is to get buzzed just take a shot of tequila or vodka or something.

[–]captainramenMAGA Communist 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

Ah if only I were young and could still slam tequila. Those days are long gone

[–]Alienhunter 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

Might I recommend becoming a whiskey snob. You can sip the whiskey slowly gaining a buzz with relatively few calories all the while avoiding the unpleasant aftereffects of slamming tequila.

I like fine whiskeys and fine tequilas, Herradura añejo is one of my favorites. Those smokey mezcals are also ace.

My problem is lack of self control

In any case I've switched to Kirkland Signature hard seltzer for that low calorie light buzz. You can mock me at your convenience

The best thing about buying bud light is you can stop buying bud light and affect their sales though 😂😁

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 2 fun6 insightful - 1 fun7 insightful - 2 fun -  (1 child)

I mean having bud light as your number one beer is pretty retarded anyway, shame on you USA.

[–]FreakyFalangist 3 insightful - 2 fun3 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

yeah we gonna have to hold that L

[–][deleted] 6 insightful - 1 fun6 insightful - 0 fun7 insightful - 1 fun -  (3 children)

I was just wondering if we can get a hold of the “bud light bracket” or people who decided to stop going to target as well.

And I was wondering if we can get them to stop drinking and eating anything you can find at 7-11 and fast food. And then also boycot Nike.

Man the world would change for the better if we could control that segment of the population.

The best thing about fatoids on america is they won't reach old age and government has less spending on healthcare

Literally only stay alive until you're useless to society

I can't have much emphaty when they have so little self-respect to the point of becoming a walking ball

[–]Dontcaretoday 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

I don't think them dying earlier makes for less spending on healthcare since they have so many more health problems and those health problems start at a younger age. I would wager that they're actually a lot more expensive.

[–]Zednix 4 insightful - 1 fun4 insightful - 0 fun5 insightful - 1 fun -  (2 children)

That shit is owned by the same company that owns bud light lol

[–]Musky[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I just found that out, but do they produce Modelo in the US? I still think this seems bad for the US.

Although I think more troubling than potentially lost brewery jobs is that the biggest consumers of beer in the US are Mexicans. It's like Little Mexico where I live already.

[–]Blackhalo 2 insightful - 2 fun2 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 2 fun -  (0 children)

It's like Little Mexico where I live already.

Same here, and they still LOVE Bud Light.

Hey, who owns Modelo?

Also, was there an influx of a certain demographics by several million recently???

[–]Musky[S] 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (8 children)

Modelo is owned by Grupo Modelo, a Mexican company.

[–]KyleIsThisTall 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (7 children)

Which is a wholly owned subsidiary of... offf... offfffff???

On June 12, 2008, The Wall Street Journal stated that Anheuser-Busch InBev, which owned a non-controlling 50% stake in the company, might attempt to acquire the remaining 50%.[3] On June 29, 2012, it was announced that Anheuser-Busch InBev would acquire the remaining 50% stake for an all-cash price of $20.1 billion.[4] On January 31, 2013, the US Department of Justice filed an antitrust suit in an attempt to prevent the buyout. The matter was settled, and the two companies merged in June 2013,[5] with the transfer of all United States rights to Constellation Brands.[6

DDUUUURRRRRRRR

I recently found that Rolling Rock is now owned by them as well, and it tastes even more different than after production moved from Latrobe. I rarely drink American Pilsner but when I do that was my go-to. They own Labatt as well. I haven't had Straub in a while, so hopefully their light lager has a decent enough taste for me for when I do buy a domestic session beer.

[–]bucetao6969 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

They distribute the beer.

[–]KyleIsThisTall 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

Yeah, but this is basically a bagman scenario to skirt anti-trust laws.

I didn't realize that. Although they don't make Modelo in the US as far as I know, and they do make Bud Light here. They have a factory right in Houston. Even if the stockholders are happy I think it still hurts US economic interests.

Unfortunately it still is a good domestic American pilsner, but it doesn't taste the same. And it is only 99 kcals.

Modelo is owned by AB-InBev. In the USA Constellation is nothing more than a middleman with strawman ownership to skirt USA anti-trust laws.

The Modelo breweries are not in the US. It's not just shareholders here.

    [–]Gaslov 3 insightful - 1 fun3 insightful - 0 fun4 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

The people pushing this tranny BS is still getting paid when you buy modelo. I love modelo and it sucks it's owned by pervs.

Leftists calling out rightwing people for buying an mexican beer telling how ironic it is.

Turns out they rightwingers just aren't xenophobic?

    [–]Musky[S] 1 insightful - 1 fun1 insightful - 0 fun2 insightful - 1 fun -  (1 child)

I've only seen Mexicans drinking Modelo though, I think the immigration problem is tied to this.

    [–]bucetao6969 2 insightful - 1 fun2 insightful - 0 fun3 insightful - 1 fun -  (0 children)

    Oh, could be.
