Radical "fundamentalist" ideas are becoming increasingly popular in reaction to the left.

Not denying this as it sounds correct, it's hard to quantify however due to the nature of Protestantism. Also as much as some might flock to more let's say "fire and brimstone" fundamentalists, a non insignificant number especially of the youth are flocking to traditional Catholicism or the Eastern Churches.

The original Protestants were willing to tread in uncharted waters, but like everything else, after their time an orthodoxy formed around it.

Perhaps this is my own bias, but the only thing that seems to unite Protestants is their status as being "not Catholic." There is such a wide range of views (moral/ideological) that fall under the catch all of "Protestant" it's almost impossible to ascertain any common belief system other than "Jesus & [my version] of the Bible is good" there is no orthodoxy as their common factor is their plurality.

Of course. As I'm sure you're aware there are similar protections in the US under the 1st amendment. However, most that identify as Christian are not going to be using their protected religious status to fight for change and on the occasion Christians do, usually our constitution and laws regarding religious freedom are blatantly ignored.

A great example is the Covid vaccine mandate where thousands of Americans in both the private and public sector were not allowed to receive an exemption from the atrocious mandate even with a valid religious exemption. Christian bakers being forced to bake LGBT wedding cakes etc. Not to discount any of the few legal victories that do occur from time to time, just that most self-professed "Christians" are not the type to use their religion to fight for their spiritual wellbeing, let alone follow Christian moral teaching.

I can only speak as to my own denomination, which is riddled with problems both institutionally and in the last half century theologically, but the percentage of practicing Catholics who follow the five basic precepts of the faith to remain in good standing is abysmally low.

A gallup poll conducted in 2012 found that 82 percent of American Catholics believe that Birth Control is morally acceptable making them formal heretics if they are aware of the Church's teaching on the matter.

Another Pew Research study found that just 1/3 of American Catholics even believe in Transubstantiation

Why am I using the Catholic Church as an example? If the majority of American Catholics don't even hold to the well established teachings of Catholicism, the sky's the limit with the theological free for all that is Protestantism. Most Americans are frankly too individualistic to let even their own religious affiliation actually reflect in their beliefs or actions.

Next time you get to talk to a niece, nephew, etc. that is in Middle/High School, ask them how many of their colleagues identify as LGBT.

Of course this could be entirely anecdotal but in my experience asking this, the number of their classmates who they say identify as such is exponentially higher than my own experience in High School which was relatively recent.

The whole situation is difficult to assess but I believe there's three equally plausible models for why things are so shit:

World governing bodies are grossly incompetent
World governing bodies / "elites" actively conspire towards greater control of human populations
A mixture of the above two in the worst ways possible.

At the end of the day everyone should be striving towards self-sufficiency/autonomy as much as possible, making strong family/friend networks and unironically prayer and fasting.

Children are being exposed to technology at increasingly younger ages. Suicide rates have gone up among the young, social media usage and screen time have a direct correlation on reported happiness/suicidal thoughts. It's not a far stretch to think that behavioral issues that effect social interaction are also being caused by this.

If you want some depressing reads go on r/teachers and read some posts, even the most liberal of public school teachers sound like luddites the way they talk about how many of their kids are lacking in fine motor skills and displaying anti-social behaviors in elementary school.

Call me a bleeding heart, but I think if we stopped giving tons of welfare benefits to people that actually have the ability to better themselves the issue of providing for people who are actually disadvantaged by virtue of their birth would be moot.

In totality these people are still a vast minority of the population.

As much as I'm blackpilled about the competency of the US Govt. this entire situation would have us believe that either the Chinese have created balloons with the ability to go largely undetected by North American air defense systems or that our air defense capabilities actually suck if we can't detect mere balloons in our airspace.

I think what's more likely is that we've been aware of these objects for a while and we're just now creating a fuss about it as a purposeful distraction (from the myriad of state failings) or to stoke public opinion against China. As others have said this new policy of telling the public about UFO sightings/incidents is quite novel and must serve a purpose other than to ostensibly make us look incompetent when it comes to defending our airspace. Sharing information about such incidents is NOT a good PR look, and the military and the govt. at large has a constant concern to cover their asses when they look incompetent.

Not saying some 'project bluebeam'-esque plan isn't on the horizon with this whole thing but I tend to follow Occam's razor when it comes to the government trying to pull the wool over our eyes.

I think Gen Z and Gen Alpha are not more right wing than their predecessors but just more vocal/extreme in both directions if they are politically active, i.e. right wing zoomers are more likely to have explicitly dissident right views while leftist zoomers are fanatical in their support for the status quo.

Electoral trends of these generations as they reach voting age are showing they are predominately more leftist as a whole.

The best thing we can do is be better parents and try to give as much support to these children who are unironically on the front lines of the culture war, or resistance to the occupation, depending on how blackpilled you are.
