Can't judge based on a vice clip but the kid's mom is clearly trying to use her atypical kid to be groomed into an activist type. Kid might have ADHD or something but has demonstrated zero transgender traits in this video. I think the mom wanted a girl.

There are many such cases. Parent wanted a child of the other sex than the one which is born and some might groom the child into acting as the opposite one. Sometimes also a pro-trans parent fetishizes simple preference of a child for some toys too.

Maybe she really doesn't want a gay son. Some fundamentalist religious people would prefer a trans child to a homosexual one.

Very true. However that would simply reflect more on the insanity of the mother. I for the life of me can't see how you'd be sure your son is gay before they are even 10.

I think we all know some kids have a certain personality that is often associated with gay people, that's more a stereotype than anything though.
