He keeps calling it a rocket stove, but I thought they were called jet stoves. They were originally developed for poor nations like Africa iirc.
I'd love one myself, just not sure on the materials. I don't know if I'd trust cinder blocks. Fire brick is designed to handle heat but they're probably pricey.

Yeah. It's an incredibly easy emergency backup concept.
