I suspect the coca leaf extract added to Coca Cola is still addictive even if it doesn't get you high

Soft drinks make me cough up phlegm, same with milk. Not sure why. I never drink them unless it's all I have to mix with vodka.

Because they give you slight acid reflux which irritates your throat and lungs.
