You can probably find some neckbeard on Twitter who's already said that, to be honest.

Neckbeards are usually one step ahead of the general population.
Their reputation for shrewd analysis of social and political trends is well recognized, in certain elite circles.

Plausibly the result of their well-insulated thyroid.

The pejorative "neckbeard" is our lockstep totalitarian culture's dismissal of older gents who may have no children, no responsibilities, no hangups, no distractions, no great wealth, no Earthly trappings, and/or no need for narcissistic masturbatory self-grooming. In other cultures they may utilize other classic terms for them such as: wise men, gurus, sages, shamans, prophets, etc.

no need for narcissistic masturbatory self-grooming.

That's the opposite of a neckbeard, Jason.

Yes, that's why it says "no need" for it, nor any of the other trappings of "normal" life.

The problem is many of the folks on the other side of the "normal" hump on the IQ bell curve don't subscribe to those trappings either, while some autistic folks manage to straddle the hump simultaneously.
