That's one of the most common uses of wireless charging. My Sonicare brush was the first time I saw wireless charging in action, although that's near-field wpt that works a little differently than far-field wpt.
It's also incredibly inefficient. Forgot if I mentioned that before.

It's completely possible, but it comes at the expense of complex microcircuity. We wouldn't have computers etc if the atmosphere was carrying a charge like that the whole time - they'd induct & short out.
