It's pretty unlikely without internet access. On the other hand, probably not many electronic devices don't have internet access these days.

i would think most devices are connected sometime or another. and I don't have the knowledge to prove it, but maybe the device has programming to take pictures/record audio to upload when connected.

I have never taken a selfie. The thought of doing so has never even crossed my mind.
