Many of the formulas were well-known prior to the greeks. The indians especially had an immense knowledge in this regard.
What the greeks did was to prove the formulas.

Also in ancient times Egypt was part of the "Western World", which is everything to the west of Assyria. And also Ancient Egypt is not modern Egypt. When you go this far back, half my ancestry lived just north of mesopotamia. And also you don't know if it was used to build the pyramids a thousand years before, because we know jack shit about the constructions of the pyramids - we have a lot of qualified quesses but that's it.
