It seems to me that who-ever invented ethnomathematics,
does completely NOT understand what mathematics is.
This is not the first time we have seen this nonsense.

Reminds me of a law in Indiana that promoted PI=3.2: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Indiana_Pi_Bill

Or the PI=4 as explained in this video:
https://www.khanacademy.org/math/math-for-fun-and-glory/vi-hart/pi-tau/v/rhapsody-on-the-proof-of-pi-4

And mathematics has been a battle in Greece:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5sKah3pJnHI
Where someone was killed for proving that Sqrt(2) is not a ratio.

Old cultures from everywhere, including Asian and south America, Japan, Egypt, were all into maths.
The same maths.

I'm so mad that Archimedes used an ingenious way to use multiple polygons of increasing sides touching the perimeter of a circle with a known diamter to approximate pi to slightly over 3.14.

White math.

I listened to a Peruvian flute band and I experienced in my heart that the ratio of the circumference to the diameter of a circle is exactly 3.

Thanks for all these excellent sources. And i approve your first sentence at first glance.

Just an ideological stepping stone from its precursor "Common Core". Aka: "We need to teach wrong methods and dumb everything down for everyone because the colored students don't learn it as fast, because separate classes would be racism!!! (we aren't ourselves racist for affirming to that colored are less intelligent though)"

Culture in maths? Can someone give me some idea of what culture in maths is about do different ethnicities have ceremonies, special clothing or unique songs they sing when they’re working on equations?

So why didn't these indigenous math(s) produce anything? Why where those civilizations so void of any technological advances? These reeetards can't even grasp counting and basic geometry discovered THOUSANDS of years ago.

Pythagoras stole his theory from Egypt. It was used to build the pyramids a thousand years before he lived there.

It's not exactly a difficult thing to discover.

EXACTLY....

Many of the formulas were well-known prior to the greeks. The indians especially had an immense knowledge in this regard.
What the greeks did was to prove the formulas.

Also in ancient times Egypt was part of the "Western World", which is everything to the west of Assyria. And also Ancient Egypt is not modern Egypt. When you go this far back, half my ancestry lived just north of mesopotamia. And also you don't know if it was used to build the pyramids a thousand years before, because we know jack shit about the constructions of the pyramids - we have a lot of qualified quesses but that's it.

Can you steal a theory? Didn’t it just people attributed it to him?

Mathematics discriminates against non-asians

Source ?

This is dumb. Can’t kids just learn one way of doing stuff that has been developing for ages (and works very well), instead of learning about all the less-effective methods because of some "culturally-inclusive” crap? This feels like maths mixed with Social Studies. And I sure hope this doesn’t also include the crap we did at my school last year, where the quizzes were 20% “What is the Māori word for pentagon?” kinds of questions, especially if that affects grades.

Oh you mean the Rockefeller’s slave indoctrination process? Yeah totally let’s stick with that.

Not saying this alternative is good but fuck the current education system
