SaidIt is not full free speech because of the pyramid of debate and the desire to "not become voat" (see /s/holocaustskepticism).
It's certainly better than reddit right now though.
I too like that there are people from all different sides here, I might actually gasp learn to talk to people with differing opinions and incentives again.
I do think it could be something special.

That is the trick. Alternative sites have a balancing act. On one hand, they want to support free speech. But on the other hand, they don't want to become a cesspool that are only visited from the literal neo-Nazis ejected from other sites. I don't think Voat's quite that bad, but it does have a lot of "edgybois" who think it's fun and hip to call everyone the n-word. Those types of idiots shouldn't be banned, but too many of them also can really kill a site's adoption.

Curious. What is up with the go-to of bad online personalities being Neo-Nazi's? I think the far left (reddit) has been the most malignant, nasty, and oppressive personalities that I have run into.

Well if somebody is straigh up posting hateful things against jews or non-white people... It's not too far of a stretch to connect those with Nazis.

Depends. What if the facts, and hard data, make Jews or non white people look bad?
Asking people to refrain from using calls to violence or racial slurs is compatible with free speech. Banning people calling for violence is fine. Banning them for posting data that shows a group has an offending problem is not compatible with free speech.
I've literally heard data called 'hate facts' because it showed black Americans had an offending rate about seven times NH whites. It's just data.
The second you stop genuine discourse and data being exchanged because it makes a minority uncomfortable, you've buggered your society. Shit has to be dealt with.

What kind of data? Mostly it's completely biased and un-scientific bs that goes around in "right-wing" social media. The most honest error is usually ignoring confounding factors. I.e. attributing criminality to race, when it's actually connected to poverty and poverty happens to also be connected to race for other irrelevant reasons.

Nazis = Members of National Socialist german workers Party. Nearly All dead.
If you critique or criticize Israel or Jewish supremacism you are NOT A NAZI. Many people criticized Jews and zealots thousands of years before Nazis.

Yes by "Nazi" everyone is literally talking about German party members of the NSDAP... /s
Spoiler: They mean people that have been brainwashed into being extremely intolerant and bigoted without real reasons towards a random (usually small) group of other people.
