Relieved that this is the top comment. One factor that reliably sucks the fun out of anti-censorship e-venues is this pretentious focus on upscale, substantive debate. (Quilette Circle has this problem, for example). The old, pre-censorship internet was fun because it had an organic mix of effortposting, shitposting, cute animals, trolling, and everything else people naturally gravitate towards. The internet, especially the uncensored internet, shouldn't feel like work, unless you want it to.
