Well racism has been a political tool of convenience. It was implemented to divide segments of the population and constrain certain bureaucratic administrative processes through centralized control from higher business and military-political functions.
Unfortunately, it never solved our real problems so we face the inconvenience of conveniences at this point. But the strong shall see the convenience of inconveniences! Welcome to the falling out.

Well racism has been a political tool of convenience.
Well said. They practice divide-and-conquer of every form that they can, religious, by age, by gender, everything. Race just happens to be the most potent of the divide-and-conquers because it's easy to visually identify and cannot be hidden. So they spend a lot of time making sure people care about it. Their worst nightmare is for race to be irrelevant

Except the real nightmare is the waste of energy from racism and totalitarian divisions; vs. utilizing that energy towards research and development in bypassing physical constraints- such as race and genetics.
The future generations would deserve the latter, not the former. A couple of generations under strict racism and everyone ends up missing out due to the lack luster discoveries maintaining only that status quo.
