They were empowered when the election was stolen, and are now free to abuse the shit out of patriots

People should know better than to have an official business here. Living in California can be the best ever if you pick the right area, but interacting with the state (employee or business owner) is asking to have a bad time.

This is a thing about shitlibs in all their varieties you must keep closely in mind: They are this way.

As a normal person, you see the availability of these positions of minor authority: election worker, school board member, census taker, health inspector, etc.. You see them and it occurs to you that theses are easy-to-get positions of authority which could be abused by petty malefactors possessed of petty grievances. But then your bias kicks in and you start to think of all the boring, apolitical stuff these jobs entail and the effort it would take to secure the position and you assume that these considerations act to filter out the vindictive cat lady who would use her laminated badge with the county emblem on it to prosecute her personal war against "fascism" or whatever. You might assume as a consequence of this type of assessment that most people who seek these jobs are just apolitical people whose primary interest is to pursue a public service credential for their resumes. And, even if it were so that maybe these jobs which assign petty authority are taken up by liberals, you may suppose that the actual nuts and bolts of the job would ensure that a liberal taking it seriously would just do the job without prejudice or malice.

But you'd be wrong.

You should enter into every interaction with someone in a position like this with the assumption that they are an opponent trying to fuck your shit up. Because they likely are. While you're gathering your receipts and documents, she's looking over your shoulder at the Betsy Ross flag on the wall over the cash register and concluding from it that you're a Trump-supporting white supremacist she has a moral duty to disemploy, de-home and perhaps have jailed.
