They had zero support for Linux users, who needed to painfully use special tools and Wine....now they say supporting them is too hard, so they are making this change.

They do have a cheating problem, but it is mostly due to their user created games. I doubt anti-cheating services will make an impact without closing that which made them what they are.

Considering the massive amount of telemetry Roblox already collects, the main thing they will bring in is a 3rd party that is a more-seasoned data collection platform, which anti-cheating systems mainly are (they spy on your system looking for signs of cheating software.)

Said it before and I'll say it again. Linux is kind of like the illegal alien of the software world. Corporations use Linux to run their servers. Corporations use Linux to power their mountains and mountains of consumer e-waste such as set-top boxes that are now in the garbage because Disney and friends choose not to support them anymore. Corporations use Linux to render their CG movies...

But when it comes to treating Linux like an equal citizen in the consumer computing world, they actively go out of their way to sabotage it. For example Sling doesn't work on Linux either, even if you install Chrome.

So yeah the analogy is kind of like exploiting an illegal alien, making him clean your bathrooms, pick your crops, do construction work, and at the same time, going out of your way to not pay him fairly/competitively, and making sure he cannot get medical care. That's essentially what the industry does to Linux as an operating system.
