It's not really that "nightmare inducing" because you could just jam a rod or wire between the spokes of the wheels. Or you could throw a bucket of water on it.

But it is pretty crazy and futuristic.

The model that will come for you will have defensive panels and not be easy to take out. Plus, depending on who's building them and for what purpose, the exterior appearance could be "psychologically troubling" enough that you would have no effective or quick response.

Perhaps. But still you can pour a bucket of water on them, or introduce some element they wouldn't know how to react to, like catching them in a huge net.

Or, worst case, you can just wear out the battery, then prevent it from recharging.
