I remember being taught Silverlight in 2010. It was absolute dogshit. Good riddance.

It was meant to create 'media rich websites', web 2.0 stuff - but Adobe Flash was a hundred times better and easier to use. And Silverlight basically ran only on Internet Explorer which was not standard and is horrible. Microsoft standards are always worse than the alternative, which is nothing.
