True that. Hope something like this goes arduino/open source.
I've had a dream for years of a robot greenhouse. Just hook up to hose, optional solar, grow lights, venting... Composting?
It just gives you a small basket of veg when it can.

I haven't followed the Farmbot in a few years. At the time I was first aware of it, they were using a series of Raspberry Pi as a part of the electronics suite. That may have changed since, but the developers were reasonably consistent in employing openly available parts and components where possible. It doesn't look remarkably more advanced since then. However, I hope tech savvy home gardeners support and buy it, so further developments can be made.
