Brave is a Chromium fork, not a Chrome fork, which means it doesn't have all the spyware Chrome has, and they also added a lot of features for security.
They should have, at the very least, mentioned Waterfox, which is FF-based and has nearly all, if not all the security features of Brave.
If you look up raddle and go to their home-page: it's solid Commie propaganda.

Brave usage & development helps Chromium usage & development, which helps Chrome usage & development. Any Firefox fork usage & development helps Firefox usage & development. Well, I will write an email to include Waterfox in alternatives.
