Bill Murray doesn't get a long with a lot of the people he works with and his personal life has been quite sordid. If I want bad advice, I know where to look.

Nope. What happens is that people develop competence as a consequence of of there abilities and practice. Within their domains of competence people accomplish more and tax their mental capacity less. Someone with the exceptional mental capacity of Bill Murray can attain competence in a domain in faster and with less mental effort. Of course he feels like he operates better when "relaxed". His standards for what constitutes "strained" (or other antonyms of "relaxed") are on a different scale from those of average mental capacity.

Fuck off Bill Murray you elitist prick!

I think you're right, that he's putting the cart before the horse. If you're good at everything, it's obviously much easier to relax. Conversely, if you're bad at something, and you relax (which I take to mean, somewhat detach yourself from the challenge), your problems only go from bad to worse. I think if you replace the word "relaxed" with "prepared", you'll have an easier life.

i'm suprized no1 agree with him, fisrt of al i think he`s hilarious, not only in movie but also in real life,i saw him during golf tournament, and he was always joking and having fun,but besides that,i think he is right,i have practized Wing Chun(Kung Fu martial arts)and at my latest school my teacher kept on going on/teaching about being relaxed, and the more i pay attention to it the more i realized i was not always relaxed or completely relaxed,if you have tension in your body/or body parts its much more difficult to create speed(and because of that also force/power E=MC2)but i also noticed in real life when i got tense i loose controle about things(or the other way arround),if your tense/or a bit tence it will also influence your brain/mental state behaviour.at my Wing Chun school we also did exercizes in which you could see that the more relaxed you are the better the exersize went, and the more tense you were the worse the exersizes went.it makes my think about drunk people who after a fight or car accident have NOTHING no pain or injurys, and thats not luck,if your drunk your relaxed as fack and it will help yeh.....i hope some people will think or maybe analize this in real life, because it works and can help you mentally and physicially, and if you dont, wel i dont care really
