If this is in reference to Trump, the way he was guided to mention overturning Roe v. Wade at a debate with Hilary, which made him a contender (though he was never previously against R v W, nor was he religious in any manner), and the way he was pushed toward nomination, and the way in which misinformation and other forms of manipulation, and CNN's daily quote of him, and A LOT of support by the 'political machine' made him the GOP puppet that would result in one of the biggest cash grabs by them in centuries. He absolutely had that political support.
