Exposing criminal actions of the DNC, isn't really rigging the election, Podesta using "password" for his password makes it hard to call hacked, and no one really conclusively determined who did that. The blame of some mysterious Russia hacking group seems a common generic excuse US intelligence makes to the public for a wide array of embarrassing lost picnicking baskets.

You are confusing BLM riots, for the actual 2016 election riots. While the 2016 election riots also lasted month and were nationwide, and they also contained many of the same groups and members, these were specifically in opposition to the election, the winning candidate, and called many times for insurrection by name. Partially organized on Reddit.com was "The Day Of Insurrection", strangely scheduled for Inauguration Day, but this was planned well in advance and much security was ready for the violent insurrectionists.

2016 anti-election rioters ultimately infiltrated the White House fence, burned and damaged historic buildings, surrounded a state-building full of workers in DC causing fear that they were held captive, and briefly infiltrated the Jan 6, 2017 electoral count (hard to find evidence of this anymore), and delayed the electoral count with their loud protesting...from the Capitol Building's visitors lobby where they were permitted to protest.

The special session to continue the disrupted 2016 electoral count, was infiltrated by two protestors who waited for the proceeding to start, then stood up, turned around and began screaming in protest, within feet of Congress' faces in the same room.

It was called "Hamilton electors", then tried to re-brand as "faithless electors" after the fact. It was an attempt to overthrow the election by intimidating and tricking electoral officials into voting against their constituents. It was largely organized and pushed by DNC members, who also employed the support of several washed up celebrities and B-actors for a commercialized campaign to overthrow the election. It mostly was banned by the Supreme Court due to doing being illegal in may states. A few electoral officials followed through, where doing so was legally allowed, but the scheme laughably grossed a loss of Hillary electoral votes, backfiring.
