I have always thought Stewart way over on the egotistical side, just reading whatever his writers came up with. He's a reader with attitude and always on the wrong side. He is just way too pleased with himself.

    We saw it.

    It's laughable.

      war profiteers in congress.

The veterans see through the divide and conquer propaganda smokescreen, and we laugh.

You're probably upset because your masters were going to get a piece of that 400 billion dollars of stolen money.

Except, it's not the "exact same bill"....which is the problem.

Same trick, different day. This is exactly like the first US Covid relief bill. The Senate Republicans were ready to pass it, with checks, and (too) generous relief, Senate Democrats were on board....then the Pelosi signaled that she was willing to shit on the public with a political trick....so Senate Democrats blocked it. House Democrats took the "exact same bill", just like here, stuffed it with crazy pork, and sat stubbornly for a week, ensuring a good long news cycle complaining that Republicans are blocking Covid relief, as they couldn't consciously vote for such a crazy pork-filled bill. Then, when the public was sufficiently propagandized that the Republicans blocked relief, they yanked the pork out of the bill, and the Republican Senate's bill sailed right through, with the shameful petty Democrats taking credit for it, deceptively writing the history that struggled to push Covid relief through despite Republicans blocking it.....

This is the go-to trick Democrats use for almost every bill now.

That is incorrect. It is actually NOT the same bill, though; It has changes. Most notably this very contested change to the reasonable management of $400 freaking BILLION in tax payer money!!!

That makes it different, and thus negates the definition of "the same."

A version of the same bill with crazy insane change to it....ie, not exactly the same bill.

            disingenuous focus on semantics

Different bill is different, despite being a different version of the same bill...

              yet it is objectively different

Your disingenuous and deceptive trolling is not adding to this conversation.

If $400B isn't enough 10 years from now, they can always pass more funding. It is absolutely wasteful, reckless, economy destroying, and stupid to make that money mandatory.

I'm so sick of lying Congress and lying celebrity stooges.
