Also, with multiple choice maths answers tied to blanks in the life story of a public figure, kids can read wikipedia in lieu of actually doing maths. Effectively, teachers are allowing kids to cheat on their homework, presumably to drive up the performance metric of the teacher and school.

Back in the 1970's we had teachers that pushed gay shit on us. Usually it was the english teachers. They always had some gay book they made us read.

It first I wondered how the hell can you make math about race, amassing how non whites have changed so much. Forcing kids to deal with shit like race and other worthless crap.

I don't get the problem with the empathy one. But it doesn't show the whole thing..

I don't think there is much more to it, but it is pushing a specific program. They probably just didn't want some weird non-math thing embedded in their math books. Yet, that program is well known and has a huge history of controversy. It basically tries to inject therapy into math for some reason. Back in the day, it wasn't so creepy, but it flipped to full crazy town within the last couple years. When they stick to the basic stuff, emotional control, time management, and teamwork, it seems fine...except it is not math. Even some of the therapy stuff seems fine, when not on math time. The problem is that it doesn't stick to that. The program's published intentions slide quite quickly into critical race theory, with goals of pushing ideas of inequality, social norms, equitable and just solutions to problems, and a manipulative focus on empathy,
