If by 'distract' you refer to Russia, so do I. Yes, the US quantitative easing is old news, due to COVID. It's a tactic that's also been exported to other countries with economic ties to the US. Thus we'll see corrections, by as much as 8% inflation in several countries. The quantitative easing was meant to prop up economies until COVID ended. 2/3rds of the US economy depends on purchases, and this has dwindled gradually for 40 years, and during COVID dwindled dramatically. Moreover, the value of the (actual) dollar will continue drop (for various reasons). The correction will have to include the additional sharing of profits with the working classes, or this trend in declining middle class wealth will also kill off large portions of economies. Anyhow, cartoons about Russia are unrelated. Inflation has actually been happening since 2020. On top of that, I il and gas prices are going up in America because Biden closed down the keystone pipeline and asked banks to deny loans to companies seeking to reopen the pipeline or similar pipelines. That has been happening since 2021.
