The people at the top are playing the game of empire. Imperialists want absolute control. It's the only meaning they see in life (which makes them pathetic, actually, but they are incapable of such introspection). The fact that the populations of the countries they rule have no interest whatsoever in this game is meaningless to them.

Whether we give a shit or not has no bearing on whether the imperialists continue this shit, to the point of hot war. The only way they will be stopped is if they are STOPPED. The imperialists need to be exposed and removed from power.

While I am suspicious of Trump for many reasons and have never been a supporter, if there is one thing he did right during his presidency, it was "America First". It's not about the US "running the world". It's about the US getting back to running the US again, dropping this internationalist poison which is about to annihilate us all. Assuming Trump stayed true to his message (and indications are that he was pretty good on this), this one change of focus is a huge step in the right direction.

Unfortunately, his support of the vaccines negates any positive sensation this causes. The vaccines must stop. Hard stop. That he is pushing propaganda preventing that eliminates any possible trust I could offer the man. Also, his support within the hardline Netanyahu cohort (who represent imperialists of their own flavor) is a huge strike against him.

US get out of the internationalist stance, yes. Trump, no.
